update on the tomatoes

I just wanted to give inquiring minds an update about the tomatoes I posted about here. A couple days ago, when dh threatened to accidentally throw them away, dd and I braved the near-freezing Texas cold snap to plant the one surviving tomato into a pot. Already it is beginning to shrivel. Even though I was careful to water it, not plant it too deep, and keep it inside when the temps are freezing, the poor thing seems to know that the evil green thumb is it's caretaker and has given up all hope. Ah well. I'm so over the whole gardening thing.
